Fast-rising TV manufacturer Hisense has announced its widest range of premium TVs. The Chinese giant, which is an official partner of the UEFA Euro 2020 tourney, has carved a niche for itself in the flatscreen midrange, but now looks to have more serious ambitions.

OLED, Mini-LED and Laser TV projectors all now form part of an extended range from the brand. If you're after new TV tech, you'll find it here.

The brand's new flagship screen for 2021 is the U9GQ, which uses revolutionary Mini-LED technology to replace the traditional backlight. Mini-LED allows for better black level performance and more precise contrast management, with bright HDR peaks.

Hisense says the U9GQ (pictured below) uses more than 10,000 Mini-LED units on set's PCB, with only 2mm gap between each light. Coupled with Full Array Local Dimming Pro technology, the company claims a peak HDR brightness of 3,000 nits. That's quite a lot of razzle dazzle.

The set also boasts Quantum Dot Colour, for greater colour fidelity. Screen sizes stretch to 75-inches. Dynamic HDR support includes HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, with a high refresh rate of 120Hz.

The brand's Laser TV projectors have been a huge hit in East Asia. These all-in-one ultra short throw projectors use a laser-light engine and are available in 88- and 100-inch screen sizes. The bundled ambient light rejecting screens offer a bright, usable picture even in rooms with high ambient light.

Hisense is also making its OLED debut with the A9G. Available in 55- and 65-inch screen sizes, this model supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision IQ, and is also IMAX Enhanced certified.

IMAX certification also applies to the U8GQ, a UHD Quantum Dot Colour LED model with Full Array Local Dimming Pro, a peak  brightness of 1,000 nits and a JBL sound system built-in.

Of course, there are new mid-range models too. The A7GQ and E76GQ are both Quantum Dot 4K HDR TVs, with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
