Teen Triology by Monisha K. Gumber

My Ratings- 5/5 stars

I was confused about picking up this book because I don't like TV shows based on teenagers but catchy cover made me go for it. And I am glad that I picked it up. I never thought it will turn out a five star read. The title suggests all but still I will briefly summarise the blurb. The story is about three friends. One of them the protagonist is Tara Kapoor, a chubby girl and author started the book on that note. That was quite fascinating. The other two are her best friends. Megha Deshpande and Dolly Nanda. I liked how author has introduced main and side characters. Karan Mehra is love of her life. I liked how author has started the book on witty note "Life begins with murder." The chapter began with Baby's tussle with her parents. Baby is Tara's sister. I think we all have faced that in our teenage life and most of them are about career goals because Indian parents are too conservative and specific about career choices. I liked how author has included sketches. That stole my attention entire time. The language and dialogues are so witty that I was fascinated with them entire time. I liked how author has captured all the details regarding teenagers like "Just added my 4311th friend." . I liked how author showed all teenagers witty and smart mouthed. After a while story took turn. I have seen teenagers being in relationship with few older guys and they can be in abusive relationship. I liked that part too. I liked all three characters. They are portrayed quite realistically. Author has used amazing vocabulary and language. Especially I loved conversation part. It held my attention entire time. Quite different and entertaining book. I enjoyed a lot while reading.
