Swapna Peri: I shall initially congratulate you on the success of your book ' Why? '. How are you enjoying the success?

Author: Thank you, Ms.Swapna. Honestly, I give credit to my family and friends for this book. If you think this is positive work, it's all just because of their positive attitude. So, I am so happy to thank them.

Swapna Peri: Can you share with our readers how and why did the idea of writing this book occur?

Author: The reality is that I did not have any idea to write a book. I wanted to do my PhD that was my long pending Dream which could not do due to unavoidable circumstances. When I travelled many countries and interacted with people, then I came to know that if you want to be happy, then it is necessary to increase the area of your desire and set the goal to make more people benefitted. So, I decided to change my Dream of PhD into writing a book. I have an experience of more than two decades of working in different sectors. Therefore, I opted to pen down my knowledge and experience in the form of a book.

Swapna Peri: What kind of research did you carry on discriminating the usual question? Why is that taught in spirituality and your philosophy?

Author: Great question Ms.Swapna. My reading interests in religious scriptures, human psychology and sociology enable my thought to explain the reason for every action. The origin of this question is before the origin of the human being. In the Quran, a religious scripture of Muslims, where GOD tells to angles about his plan to create the human being, and angles asked a question to GOD, WHY do you want to create the human being? If your purpose as a created human being is to obey and worship you, we are doing everything. This was the first question of why, as I understand, was raised. It would be definitely in other religious scriptures, too.

Swapna Peri: How important is questioning and the process of questioning? Why? in one's life?

Author: Questioning opens the door for your knowledge and information. This is the key to get access to your knowledge world. It is very important for anyone to develop relationships, to get help or to support others. As it is said, "Asking Questions is a most powerful tool to develop your brand, sharpen your tool by continuously Asking Questions". Out of all the questions, the why is most important because it gives the reason for your action. It enables your motivational instinct to find the reason. This is the first step of scientific research. If you are not aware of why do you do what you do, you will definitely reach nowhere—the answer of your why only decides your course of action to achieve your goal.

Swapna Peri: How do you think the ideas and the scientific explanations given in the book will change a reader's perspective?

Author: Great. Let me explain the concept. Most people consider that science is a dry subject. Although there are many interesting things to know in science, you need to make an effort to understand and create interest. Science is based on facts. It is supported by stories to make it interesting. Therefore, ideas are supported by scientific facts, and then a story is created so that people can understand in a better and interesting way. In this book, readers will learn things without making big efforts.

Swapna Peri: Coming back to the cover page, why did you choose the inverted spelling? Is there any particular reason?

Author: It is really a wonderful question. The Why is on the cover is not a design; it has a reason to keep it inverted. You must have realised that ⅄HMis also not upside down. First, the Why has been rotated by 180° to make it easily readable and second; it will force the readers to start your reading with Why. If anyone is asking this question at first glance, he/she has a basic questioning instinct.

Swapna Peri: One of my favourite chapters in the book is ' Motivation - Boosters and Killers '. How to instantly identify the negative things or the motivation killers, in short.

Author: It's my pleasure that you like this chapter. In fact, everyone talks about motivation boosters and skip motivation killers, while these are important things to know. You can't stop leakage from your motivational bucket. Your energy will be drained out without achieving your goal. It is very simple to identify a motivation killer. Let's take an example. If you are doing something important and an idea comes to your mind to do another interesting thing that forces you to jump there, leaving this work in the middle means a motivation killer is preventing you from reaching your destination. Motivation is not for doing the work continuously but for completing the work to achieve your goal.

Swapna Peri: The tables and the grids in some chapters are quite informative. What kind of study did you do to use them?

Author: Tables, graphs and grids are the visual presentation of data. These represent the bigger and better story of information. This is a wonderful technique for data presentation. People understand in an easy way the idea and information provided to them. I tried to convert the data and information into the pictorial form to make it easy for my readers.

Swapna Peri: In this genre, what is your favourite book and why?

Author: There are very few books that have been written on this topic, especially on 'WHY'. The work of Simon Sinek is highly admirable and also informative. His writing style is attractive, and he uses eloquent language. Simon tries to explain his ideas with the help of stories. His two books, ' Start with Why' and 'Find Your Why', are very popular. I also love to read 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear and 'A monk who sold his Ferrari' by Robin Sharma, who is my all-time favourite author. In fact, I only need a book to read. Interest is created automatically because everybook has some new information for me.

Swapna Peri: What is your opinion on the emotional quotient among the youngsters in this generation? Are they ready to face any kind of situations life poses?

Author: It's a good question. There is no problem with our young generations. They are hardworking, laborious, and most importantly, they are energetic. There is no issue; they just need to have support from family, society as well as government. It is necessary to reinvent the wheel of the education system. Actually, our education is more theoretical than practical. There is a very big gap between university education and required qualifications in the market. A system should be developed with the support of the government to fill this gap. Education should produce entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs. We need to make them independent instead of dependent employees. If they join any company, even then, they will be able to handle projects or any department independently. This is our responsibility to help, support and guide them.

Swapna Peri: Apart from books and poetry, what are your other interests?

Author: Although reading is my passion, I also love to do social work and help others. Playing with my children has always been a favourite and refreshing moment for me. Sometimes I listen to old Hindi songs, too.

Swapna Peri: Some motivational words to the readers.

Author: The best toolkit for success in life is a set of your What, Why and How. You need to understand its sequence. What is your Dream, why is your reason, and how is your action. Think Big, find a strong reason and do powerful action. With the help of this toolkit, you can increase the probability of your success. Whatever you have in your mind to achieve, you can; you just need to have intensity in your desire and continuity in your efforts. Thank you for your time and great questions.
