Muruga by Anand Balasubramanian

My Ratings- 5/5 stars

I read the title and immediately picked up this book as mythology genre is my favourite. And I was unaware of this story and wanted to read it since long. It's the story of about Lord Muruga. The blurb is complicated so it's little bit tough for me deciding what to include and what not to because all the details are as important to me. Asura's destructive force created havoc as they were given boon by lord shiva. The only person annihilate them is someone who born from the union of Lord Shiva and Shakti. This book consists of that entire story of the Lord's origin, family and deeds. Like how six children were born and united when lord Parvati hugged them. I liked him as a warrior. Because author has described them too perfectly. I liked everything about this book because I haven't read or known anything about him till now. Author has narrated the story in well elaborated manner. I liked the vocabulary and language used by the author. Author has focused equally about the personal life such as second marriage as well as the destruction of evil too. I enjoyed a lot reading it. Strongly recommended from my side.
