America: The Motion Picture takes a lot of creative liberties while drawing from real life events to tell a story that some people will find hilarious and informative (that's for the people with limited knowledge of America's history).
The general consensus in Hollywood for this movie is that it's a bad one; common terms used to describe it range from lacklustre, to unfunny, blindly racist, unconsciously misogynistic, and much more.

I feel these are harsh words, but a part of me does think that I feel this way because I'm not American and because of how far removed I am from the situation. My perspective is different from all the Americans complaining because they have to watch their founding fathers' stories retold with such levity and judging by their expressions, without justice being served by the storytelling.
I do think their opinions are as valid as mine even though we sit on different sides of the fence. If you're far-removed from the situation just like me, feel free to check out America: The Motion Picture on Netflix this weekend, and share your thoughts with me afterwards, chances are you'll probably enjoy it's annoying jokes and over the top nature, too.
