Ready for a Seacation? With no worries about ever-changing international travel restrictions, decadent dining and all-out luxury resort relaxation all on offer within the UK - at sea - we can't think of anything better. Now, with Princess Cruises' Sky Princess setting sail on its first ever sailing from the UK to commence its 'Summer Seacations' season around the British Isles, there's even more reason to take your Brit staycation to the sea to enjoy some well-needed opulence on the ocean waves.

The MedallionClass ship set sail from Southampton yesterday with guests onboard for the first time over 17 months. The event also happened to be Sky Princess' first ever sailing from the UK with guests on board, too. It's the third Princess Cruises ship to resume sailings since March 2020 - and seeing as Sky Princess only started sailing in October 2019, we can't wait to finally discover the glamorous new ship. Sky Princess is joining sister ship Regal Princess, which is already sailing around the UK.

'What exactly is a Summer Seacation?' you may be wondering. Well, from now through to 5th October 2021, Sky Princess will take UK guests on short scenic voyages and itineraries which visit UK port cities Liverpool, Greenock, Belfast and Portland. Think all the grandeur of a luxe resort holiday, without the need to think about international travel restrictions.

And when we say grandeur, we mean it: Sky Princess boasts a host of new and exciting features and venues, including French restaurant Bistro La Sur Mer from 3-Michelin star chef Emmanuel Renaut, jazz bar Take Five, the WakeView Bar and Pool, and two Sky Suites, which have the largest balconies at sea and offer 270-degree panorama views.
Mini suites on Sky Princess offer a large balcony, separate sitting area with sofa bed and two flat-panel televisions.
All inclusive mini suite Seacations on Sky Princess start from £479 per person, and are sailing now.
"It is fantastic to be welcoming guests back onboard another Princess ship, this time the beautiful Sky Princess, our second ship to join us here in the UK." Tony Roberts, vice president Princess Cruises UK and Europe said. "Princess is one of only two cruise lines to have two ships operating out of the UK this summer, which bears testament to our commitment and devotion to UK guests."
Crowning the ship, each luxuriously furnished Sky Suite hosts up to five guests and boasts a 270-degree panorama throughout your voyage from an over-1,000-square-foot continuous balcony – the largest in the Princess Cruises fleet.
He continued: "Yesterday was a significant day for Sky Princess as it also marked her first sailing from Southampton - her homeport for three consecutive years - with guests onboard. We are delighted to have one of our newest ships dedicated to the UK market and we are certain guests will love everything Sky Princess has to offer."
Princess Cruises Summer Seacations can be booked by visiting princess.com, and are available to UK and Common Travel Area resident COVID-19 vaccinated guests only.
