Automobili Pininfarina's ultra-exclusive Battista Anniversario all-electric hypercar will make its UK debut on the lawns of Blenheim Palace, at this week's Salon Privé supercar show.

Hailed as the most powerful road-legal car ever to come out of Italy, the Automobili Pininfarina Battista boasts four electric motors, one at each wheel, for a combined output of 1873bhp. It can get from standstill to 186mph in 12 seconds. The hyper GT also features a carbon fibre monocoque with a carbon fibre and aluminium rear subframe, plus carbon-ceramic brakes.

The luxury Italian carmaker will build just 150 Battistas, and with a huge number of exterior and interior options, no two are expected to be exactly the same. 

The most exclusive Battista of all will be the Anniversario. Worldwide production will be limited to just five cars, all of which are reserved, and delivered to customers next year. They will represent the pinnacle of Automobili Pininfarina's design philosophy.

The Anniversario's theme incorporates three signature colours

The Anniversario's heritage-inspired theme incorporates three signature colours – Bianco Sestriere, Iconica Blue and Grigio Antonelliano – and the complex paint scheme takes weeks to finish by hand at Pininfarina's design centre in Cambiano, Italy.

The Anniversario also features the Furiosa aerodynamic package, which includes a revised carbon fibre front splitter, side blades and a rear diffuser for extra downforce and improved high-speed stability.

Italian design house Pininfarina, founded by Battista Pinin Farina in 1930, is supporting Automobili Pininfarina in the design and production of the Battista. Pininfarina has been responsible for some of the most iconic cars of all time for the likes of Alfa Romeo, Cisitalia, Maserati, Lancia and Ferrari.

In a belated 90th anniversary tribute to design house, a special class dedicated to Pininfarina in the Concours d'Elégance presented by Aviva will include the first Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona to be delivered to the UK, a very rare right-hand-drive Ferrari 275 GTS, and a Ferrari 330 GTS that was displayed at the 1967 Turin Motor Show and which has picked up numerous concours awards in recent years. 

Set to join them on the lawns of Blenheim Palace is a highly original and Classiche-certified Ferrari 275 GTB/4 that was bought new by Italian footballer Giuseppe Pagni, a 1963 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Spider, and a 1974 Dino 246 GTS. They will form a memorable display in honour of Pininfarina's long and celebrated history.
