What I learned from this book: Don't follow the sheep.

Description of the book: FOUR FRIENDS. THREE ENEMIES. TWO TRAGEDIES. ONE TERRIBLE TRUTH.

A small English town is rocked by the disappearance of a local woman, Tina. As the search continues, someone is targeting her former best friends for revenge. Lauren, Jess, Claire. They all hide secrets. Who knows what they did? Who's watching them? The truth is stranger and far more sinister than they can ever imagine.

How this book made me feel: I am very proud and happy that N S Ford has written a book, and I am glad that I can support her work. This book is really great. I absolutely love the cover, it is mysterious and very well designed.

This novel is told from multiple perspectives, but I think the protagonist in this book is Lauren. She is a very strange character, she is very mysterious, she is autistic and she has a very dark past. Same goes for her friends as well. They seem like normal women, but they have done some horrible stuff in the past. I really enjoyed the complexity of the characters and was very keen to learn more about them. They are covered in mysterious shroud throughout this book, and I was excited every time I got to learn something new about them.

The plot of this book was very well written. The suspense was killing me. There were so many hints about secrets and mystery that I was desperate to find out more. I really enjoyed the different perspectives, it allowed to see the whole story better as well as kept me intrigued. There are plenty of topics discussed in this book, such as mental health issues, depression, drug and alcohol addiction, bullying and abuse, toxic friendships, relationships, autism, life in a small town and many, many more.

I personally think that this novel is very well written and overall delivery of the book is great. I really enjoyed different styles combined in this book, it made it more enjoyable and added more mystery to the whole book. The chapters are pretty short and the pages just flew by for me. The ending was quite unexpected and it left me confused, because I wish to find out more.

So, to conclude, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, filled with flawed and complex characters that are incredibly mysterious and absorbing as well as the plot that is filled with suspense and surprises. I really liked this book and I hope you will give this debut author a read, I was very pleasantly surprised, and I hope you will be too. Enjoy!

Thank You for Your time! ❤
