Nearly two years since I last prepped for a concert! Therefore, much of the week centered around a deep dive with Toad the Wet Sprocket. But I also managed another new album review and listened to a few more singles released from a local group. On the surface not a whole lot of music but read on, I actually listened to quite a bit...
- Toad the Wet Sprocket - Starting Now (album) and various songs
A listened to their new album Starting Now again which I reviewed in August plus I found a likely setlist for last night's show at Revolution Hall, my first (somewhat) official (in-person) concert in nearly two years. Therefore, Toad kept me bust most of the week as I got acquainted and reacquainted with their 30 year catalog of music.
- Dream Theater – A View From the Top of the World (album) and various songs
Whenever I listen to Dream Theater I wonder why I don't listen to them more. And, their latest album A View From the Top of the World proved that once again. Their 15h album stretched more than an hour which led to listening to a handful of other songs from previous albums.
- Athey Music – Father, He Is Good, Never Far Away (songs)
A local group released two more songs off their forthcoming release Goodness & Mercy so I gave all three a listen to see how the album was shaping up. So far, so good.
- Alex Lifeson – Kroove, Banjo Bob, Serbs (songs)
Neat.
