Nectar of all world religions by Ishwar Joshi Awalgaonkar

My Ratings- 4/5 stars

The title of the book is unique ans it explains all so I had to pick it up. In introduction, author said that he picked up Bhagwad Geeta at the age of 21, and same thing happened with me. People believes that religious books spread myths and superstitions but that's not the case. It's the guide to spiritual and proper living no matter what book it is. Author has covered all the important aspects of all religions. Author has narrated about Bible that he automatically started understanding after a while. That was indeed a good experience. Author has also explained how to read this book and that helped me a lot to understand it's perspective. Author has covered religions that I have never heard such as Bahai, religion founded in Iran in the mid-19th century by Baha Ullah. I won't discuss other examples as it will lead to spoilers. There are certain known religions also like Buddhism and Christianity. Author has explained about them and at the end of chapter, he has shared verses and lines from that religious scripture. I wanted to read in more detail that is the only complaint I have. Plus I wish author has explained certain verses as for layman, we can't understand completely. But this is a good introductory book to get to know and understand all the religions. The language of the book is lucid so that everyone can pick it up. Narration style of the author is captivating. Overall good one. Quite informative read.
