In the late '70s and '80s, the US Military investigated exploiting paranormal phenomena. Telepaths, psychics, drugs, and the like. If The Men Who Stare At Goats is to be believed, the project was unfruitful and shut down.

Strap on your tinfoil hat. Because I believe not only were they not shut down, but the project was provided more funding and grew globally. Extending their outreach by developing board games. Innocent on the surface but used to find candidates with latent psychic abilities en masse.

One of these games is The Mind.

A card game that opens with you holding a hand of numbered cards and wondering what the hell to do next. Seriously. Without communicating, the goal of this cooperative game is for everyone to play their numbers in a single line ordered from smallest to largest.

But how the hell do I know when to play my card?

I may have played a 63 as the first card >.>
