Nothing Burns as Bright as You by Ashley Woodfolk is a novel told in verse about two girls as they fall in love and fall apart.

I loved this book. It was such a beautifully moving story that simultaneously healed my heart and shattered it all at once. Woodfolk has perfectly captured the feeling of what it feels like to fall in love and to know that you are losing the person you care about so much.

I really liked Woodfolk's writing style. I thought telling the story in verse really enhanced the novel.

Finally, I really enjoyed the characters. They are honest, relatable and real and that made the story especially compelling.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a beautiful and poignant novel told in verse about what it's like to fall in love told from the perspective of two girls.
