Today it is my turn on the blog tour for Dissatisfied by Ksenija Nikolova
Book Review
Dissatisfied by Ksenija Nikolova
I received an advance review copy for free thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Margot's unhappiness is contrary to what you might expect, considering that she lives in Paris and is married to a handsome, successful man she loves. However, as time passes, she feels more certain about her emptiness and realizes how little time her husband Arthur has for her. Finally, she decides to leave him, but then something changes. Not only does Margot not know her husband as well as she thought she did, but she also comes to see that she didn't even know herself that deeply.
This is a fascinating and brutal read about Margot trying to rediscover the joy in her life. We join Margot as she is about to leave her husband and the story is told through the letters she writes to Arthur. This is the second book I have read by Ksenija and both have been very powerful, emotional reads.
This well-written book will leave you reflecting on your own life. Having finished this book, I am not entirely sure I have finished analysing the contents - the rawness of this book will stay with me.
