**Crazy Craig coming home with a wet sail this Autumn**

So as Australia comes to realise that the little Irishman Robbie Dolan has a set of golden tonsils on The Voice, Verry Elleegant will attempt what very few champion mares have done and race on as an 8-year-old in the Spring, and the MRC announced plans to have an inside track at Caulfield, despite the fact that basically nobody in the Victorian industry asked for it, nor does anybody in the industry actually want it.

What the living crap are they trying to do to Melbourne's racecourses - Moonee Valley was going to have it's straight bastardised before sanity prevailed, Sandown is going to get sold off for some kind of sterile housing commission, and the next thing you know, the VRC are going to turn Flemington into a trotting track.

Now, looking ahead to the last day of April, the highlight of the day is the Group 1 Australasian Oaks at Morphettville, which will not feature Australian Oaks winner El Patroness after the vets said no, the Group 2 Queensland Guineas is on at Eagle Farm, the Hawkesbury Gold Cup meeting on another wet track will have you crying in the aisles, the Sheila Gwynne Classic at Ascot (That's in Belmont), and the Anniversary Vase at Sandown, which I'll completely forget is going ahead as I have to go to Hilton Park tomorrow afternoon.

So it's on to Crazy Craig, and after a long successful Autumn there was bound to be a slight fall down a flight of stairs, and that was last week, when pretty much nothing interesting happened outside of a 2nd to the Pick of the Day, so it's time to get back on the horse, and instead of Lucky Lips, here's a musical fact of the day...

Yeeeeesssss hello hello everyone it's Crazy Craig TBFB, and after giving away a few more scratchies to the down on their luck, life rewarded me again with another big win, when Crazy Colin got locked in his house on Wednesday morning!

Nothing to do with the horses, I just wanted to let you know that happened, because it was piss funny!

Anyway, I'm fed up with bloody Sydney and Melbourne this week, because quite frankly the racing on both sides of the Murray looks Shithouse with a capital S, so we're off to Adelaide for the proper start of the Adelaide Carnival with the Australasian Oaks, and a field with a standout favourite means there's plenty of value hopes, and after my trusty 5 minute look at the form guide, I've gone for the filly named after a flower...

Daisies!

Yes, Daisies may look like a wildflower compared to the sprouting tulip of a favourite that is My Whisper with her four consecutive wins, but the Price-Kent filly won the Alexandra Stakes two starts back, and she raced against the boys in the Port Adelaide Guineas 3 weeks ago, finishing 3rd after making a move before the corner, then after presenting well enough, the petrol gauge hit empty and Harleymoven said goodbye to everyone to win by 4 lengths on his way to Derby favouritism!

So, Daisies is now back and racing against her own gender, or against fillies that describe themselves as fillies, she gets the extra 200 metres on Saturday, she is a previous winner over 2000 metres, Mark Zahra jumps back aboard the Sebring filly having previously ridden her to victory in the aforementioned Alexandra Stakes, and the obvious question mark is having to jump from the carpark, aka Barrier 17, but quite honestly, assuming Zahra can just slot in midfield, then I see no reason why Daisies can't run a good race and hopefully land in the Top 3!

So there you go - Daisies, my VALUE PICK OF THE DAY.

Pick of the Day: Sneaky Chance (No.3, Barrier 6) in Race 6 at Ascot, 3:30pm AWST

1200m 66+ Rating Crown Perth Handicap

Trainer: Trevor Andrews, Jockey: Shaun O'Donnell, 54kg

On to the Pick of the Day, and I could've gone anywhere else in the world, but instead I wound up going to some crap joint called Ascot, but for whatever reason, ASCOT is in BELMONT!

I keep telling my mate Mr Alfonse to write to the council to get that changed, but he never bloody replies, and it PISSES ME OFF!

Anyway, I like the look of the favourite in Race 6 who goes by the name of Sneaky Chance, and you'll obviously note that it's ironic calling her Sneaky Chance, because she's got more than a sneaky chance in the race having won her last 3 starts, and history tells us that late season 3-year-olds have the maturity to stick a firecracker up the backside of the older horses!

Now, the latest win to complete the hat-trick was two weeks back over the 1000 metres, in which she sat 3rd in the run in something resembling the classic trotting 'one out one back' position, and rattled off a big final furlong to win by a half length in fairly comfortable fashion.

Obviously the big question we're going to find out is how well does she handle the 1200m, because her best work has been as a short course sprinter, and her 1200m record is decisively average, having run 4th in the Pinjarra Magic Millions last year, followed by 10th in last year's Karrakatta Plate - BUT, the important part is those runs were both when she was still a maiden, so there's every chance that with natural improvement she'll easily handle the 6 furlongs!

In conclusion, Shaun O'Donnell sticks aboard, she's placed superbly and weighted pretty well against the older horses, there's speed to burn in the race, so if she can slot midfield or just off the speed, then I reckon the SOD on her back can wind her up for another big crack at them late!

So there you go, SNEAKY CHANCE, she's got more than that, because she's my PICK OF THE DAY.
