Some of the books I read never had reviews, either because I knew they would be too short to talk about or simply didn't know what to say. However, I always felt a little disappointed not to say anything about them as I still have things to say. So I decided to write shorts reviews for those books. It's only a list of four or five elements that I liked or not in those books.
For March, three books were suitable to be in the first mini-reviews post: a poetry (not a lot to say as for me you feel it), a comic (too short to do a great extensive review), and a novella (yeah, it's difficult to say a lot about 96 pages.) All of them aren't rated.
the princess saves herself in this one by Amanda Lovelace
- Love the style of the world on the pages. They are more than just words that make a sentence; they live.
- It didn't make me cry, but it made me feel things; there is something that feels personal and, at the same time, so easy to understand.
- I will continue with the series, but I think it's poetry to discover at a slow pace and go back to it from time to time.
- Big plus: the content warning at the beginning of the book.
Skyward I: My Low-G Life by Joe Henderson
- The story is very promising. Here you only have the premise of Willa's story.
- Everything is well-explained, but you feel that you only see the top of this world.
- I love how the low gravity changed everything (even rain) and how society adapted to it.
- For now, it's only in the city, but you feel that this world is big and more dangers await outside it.
- Did I nearly cry at the end? Yeah, totally!
Bridal Boot Camp by Meg Cabot
- A short but delightful romance
- Makes me have a good laughter
- It was very predictable due to the shortness of it would have liked it to be a little longer.
- Some characters that we follow or see in the other books of the series are introduced in this novella.
It's so easy to do and a good compromise; I can talk about those books and, at the same time, don't feel the obligation to do an extensive review.
I hope you like this new format and see you in another post!
Liz.
