Hello, it is that time again when I don't know what to blog about. If this happens I usually resort to a booktag. I have perused the net and found this one. It is an interesting one and most likely I would have input since it is about the romance genre. The tag was made by Ashley @Words About Words . Do drop by her blog since she has other fun stuff too.

The Rules

  • If you' do the tag, make sure to link back to the original post
  • You can find graphics on the original post.
  • Although this is based around romance tropes, your answers don't have to be romance books. Whatever fits the prompt!
I loved this book after 5 chapters. It had a spunky yet vulnerable female and male lead. It was an enemy to lovers' romance. However, every problem came about because of a misunderstanding. I love a lot of things in this book. Shakespeare's sonnets were just the tip of the iceberg.
I have always been shipping Chaol and Selena with each other. Sadly the ship only sailed in the second book. Because of this, I am only reading the story because of its fantasy aspects, not the romance parts.
I was pressured to read this since my mother and grandmother loved Julie Garwood's novels. It was a good read and will read more from this author.
This read was a very pleasant surprise. I enjoyed it a lot even if there were some things I did not agree with. I recognize that there is supposed to be a sense of freedom when it comes to love.
I am not usually into family drama, however, this book was a good one. I like that it had a lot of depth to it. It talked about a family's 3 generations and how they were able to survive, during and after the war.
I prefer the second book to the star-touched series by Roshani Chokshi. It was more up my alley. I love the dynamics between the main characters. Also, the ending was more satisfying because of it.

It would be between the cruel prince series by Holly Black and my collection of Mariana Zapata novels. I love these novels and had a hard time collecting them. Also, they are expensive in the Philippines.

Speaking of novels I wanted more from, this comes to mind. I was expecting a lot from it but was let down. It was the story of Zac who was a character in The wall of Winniepeg. I love that story that I can't help but compare them both.
Mainly historical romances were the books that got me hooked with romance novels. I have read a lot and still are reading. They never tire me. Special mention is when the duke returns by Eloisa James since the main character was a house designer in the regency era.
Jude and Cardan are made for each other.
A book that features my favorite trope would be the hating game. It has the enemies-to-lovers trope which I prefer above the other tropes.

I enjoyed doing this. It was fun too.

Thank you for reading and God bless,

-R
