Meadow has only ever loved one man – the very gorgeous Bear Brookfield. Ever since they were children she's dreamed of marrying him under the green canopy of Wishing Wood. Years later, Meadow and Bear remain best friends, despite Meadow marrying and divorcing Bear's brother Heath. Yet she's sure there's no chance they'll be anything more.
What Meadow doesn't know is that Bear has only ever loved one woman too. He was heartbroken when Meadow married Heath, certain she chose his brother over him. But there's more to Meadow and Heath's marriage than anyone knows...
With both Meadow and Bear convinced they can only ever be friends they set one another a dating challenge – will they meet their perfect match online, as Bear thinks, or in person at a dating event, like Meadow believes? Or will they finally discover that their soul mate has been right there in front of them, secretly loving them, all along?

My Review
This is book #2 in the Wishing Wood series. Whilst it's part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone book. We are back in the beautiful treehouse setting of Wishing Wood. This book focusses on the storyline of Meadow and Bear. Remembering from the previous book, Meadow was married to Heath, one of the Brookfield brothers, but has always carried a torch for Heath's brother, Bear. And Bear, has similarly had the same feelings for Meadow for all these years!
I loved the first book in the series, and equally settled into Meadow's storyline just as well! All the characters in this series are lovely, and I did like Meadow from the previous book. Bear definitely has to be my favourite of the three brothers, so it was great to have this book focussing on him! It's very much a 'will-they, won't-they' storyline, with lots of added problems and miscommunications along the way. Meadow is very likeable, and I loved her relationship with her daughter, Star and ex-husband, Heath. However, her flourishing relationship with Bear was something else!! The heat and chemistry coming from both of them was enough to stop a train in its tracks! I love the dating website angle and enjoyed the different date evenings, but who'd have thought there was one where you had to smell other people?!!
Of course, we do get to meet again characters from the previous book, although only fleetingly in passing! This is good though as it leaves us more time to concentrate on Meadow and Bear and wonder whether they ever will get it together! There are a couple of other little storylines to fill in the gaps, and who couldn't not love Star and Snuggles! Overall, this was a wonderful addition to the Wishing Wood series and one which I will definitely be going back to read again! There were lots of laughs, emotion, family, friends and, of course it goes without saying that there's plenty of sex on the menu too! Don't worry though, it's all done tastefully and in keeping with the light-heartedness theme throughout the book! The location is stunning, the characters are lovable, and the storyline will warm your heart and keep you hooked until the very last page! Roll on book #3 because doesn't Heath deserve a bit of love now…!!?? Would definitely recommend!
