I have read this series out of order - this is the second book in the series but the fourth book I have read. Whilst all of the stories are linked by the characters all can be read as standalones. I have yet to find a Heidi Swain book that I have not enjoyed and she is definitely a must read author. For me this was an easy one sitting read - I had reached the ending of the book before I had noticed that I had already read 400 pages, a sign of just how enjoyable it is.
