Okay, this month, I have five mini-reviews, including one that concerns the first two books of the same series.
So let's start!
Ms. Marvel: No Normal by G. Willow Wilson
I didn't really like the drawing and the colours.
I think she is an essential superhero as she represents people in real life, and life has changed since the beginning of the comics. Diversity is vital in literature, whatever the medium.
LesAristochats by Disney (French version)
Too short to read even if the most important scenes are there. However, as I watched it a hundred times when I was younger, I remembered the missing pieces.
Some of the images don't correspond to the text.
A good nostalgia moment as while I was reading it, I was singing the songs.
The Wicked + The Divine: The Faust Act byKieron Gillen
OMG! I didn't know I would be so engrossed in this comic. Okay, it's only the first, but still!
I really like the characters; they are all different and mysterious in their own way.
Can we talk about this ending, like not a lot is said just the picture shows it, but the atmosphere in them, just loved it!
I was a little lost at one point about what was happening, but I think it suits the scene.
It Happened One Summer byTessa Bailey (DNFed @41%)
I just didn't care about the romance and the characters.
I tried twice to read this book, but sadly, I'm bored with it, and it's a chore to read. I prefer to read a romance book where I will be engrossed than continue this book.
This book reminds me of a film I loved as a teenager, Wild Child starring Emma Roberts. Maybe it reminds me too much of the film, and I have difficulties differentiating them.
Komi Cherche ses Mots Vol.1 + 2 byTomohito Oda
This beginning is auspicious as it made me laugh a lot even if the subject aborded by this series is a serious one.
I like how Komi can react to people, you sometimes see her tremble, and you also have the comparison between her and a cat.
I can't wait to know more about her and how she will create a link with her classmates.
I just have a problem with the fat-phobia in it.
Here are all the books of August that I wanted to do a mini-review. I hope you liked them, and tell me what you think about them in the comment if you have read them.
