My thoughts
It's always good when you can settled down with a familiar 'face' (that is character(s)) and find yourself immersed in a wonderful story which is exactly what I did when reading 'The Bone Code' by Kathy Reichs.
Temperance finds herself moving between Canada and the USA as she often does investigating an old case whilst coming across a scary flesh eating bacteria!
You are carried along the clever, twisting storylines as she needs to work out what is happening. All aided by Andrew Ryan and colleagues. We have more about their ongoing relationship which always adds to the story. It's no easy ride and terrible things happen and are unearthed but what a joy to read and be taken along in this book to finally find out what happened.
I really enjoy this series and The Bone Code is a great addition. Highly recommended book and series.

Theakstons Crime Festival 2022, Harrogate
It was great to see Kathy Reichs at Harrogate a really interesting event and so good to be back at 'real' events. Although, I do love that you can still attend book events virtually when not able to be there in person.

Author: Kathy Reichs is a forensic anthropologist, an academic, bestselling writer of mystery novels and producer. She is a Professor of anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte but is currently on indefinite leave.[*1] She divides her time between work for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, State of North Carolina, and for the Laboratoire des Sciences Judiciaires et de Médecine Légale for the province of Québec. She is one of only fifty forensic anthropologists certified by the American Board of Forensic Anthropology[*2]and is on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. Her schedule also involves a number of speaking engagements around the world. In 2019 she received the 'Order of Canada'.
She has been married to Paul Aivars Reichs since 1968. They have three children.
