[New post] September’s mini-reviews

For September, I have five mini-reviews. There are three, which are for comic/manga, and two are the ones for the two DNF of this month. Unfortunately, I didn't read them enough to do a full review like I usually do.
So let's start!
Take Me Home Tonight by Morgan Matson (DNF @18%)
This book made me realise that contemporary YA aren't for me anymore. Lately, I'm more into contemporary adult and to be back to YA and read that was difficult. So that's why I decided to DNF it and give it to my little sister.
The Wicked + The Divine: Fandemonium by Kieron Gillen
Again OMG!! I hope it will stop with this one, as I can't have another big cliffhanger like that!
In this book, we discover more gods, but they are all morally grey in the end. I trust nobody in those twelve gods and especially not their guardian. I didn't like her at the start, and I was right.
Square One by Nell Frizzell (DNF @36%)
Not a lot to say about this book, as I DNFed it at less than 50%, but it makes me feel too uncomfortable to continue reading it.
It's not really what I was expecting from this book as, for me, she isn't as at square one as I thought she would be.
I also didn't like the main character, Hanna. I found her boring, childish, and sometimes gross.
Lastly, the way she calls her parents by their first name was putting me out every time.
Komi Can't Communicate vol.3 byTomohito Oda
We continue to see Komi in new situations that need her to be more outgoing, and we still see her struggle (and become a cat), but we can see a slight change in her.
The new element in this volume is her family dynamics, and I love how she communicates with her father. We already encounter her mother in the previous book, but we see her more here. We also have a scene with her grandma that I found so beautiful.
Some elements were a little limit, like men giving a grade to the girls that appear in a swimsuit.
The Wicked + The Divine: Commercial Suicide byKieron Gillen
For real, there is a big revelation in this one, and even if I had some suspicion, it was still surprising. Now I need more explanations because I'm not okay.
Honestly, I was a little lost at some point. I don't know if it was because I was reading it with a migraine or because it was done on purpose.
Here are all the books of September that I wanted to do a mini-review. I hope you liked them, and tell me what you think about them in the comment if you have read them.
