Yes. That is an almost 6ft pile of books.
So I'm turning 30 soon. In about 2 weeks in fact. And I would like to mark the occasion. But only in the way I enjoy which is reading.
I don't particularly hold stock in the idea of aging or worry about anything to do with it. My existential crises tend to arrive when some tulip opens a tomb or something on the other side of the planet when there is absolutely no need to. But I do feel at this age, I'm more myself than I ever was at say 21 or 18. And that calls for something!
So I went among my shelves and picked 30 books of varying genre, length and format. Some a bit cut off in the picture but I will be listing them below. My aim is to get to the books I've put off for a bit for many reasons. Either things like mood or length of them. Or even in some cases, intimidation that I won't "get it". That's where things like Pride and Prejudice and Sapiens are fitting in my canon currently. Boyf chose 5 of these as well to make it even more varied so I've done my best there. The genres include SFF, manga, non fiction, classics and some horror.

So from here I suppose I aim to do updates here where I can and maybe review most if not all of them. I will be reviewing The Female Man specifically from the perspective of my own opinions on a classic SF book like this. I also am posting regularly on my Instagram so feel free to check in there as well and let me know which of these you have read!
