After her brother was injured trying to safe his girlfriend, Millie and her daughter Joanna move from England to the United States. Joanna being so young, is adjusting easier and quicker than Millie is. However, the sexy Marcus, her brother's best friend makes it easier for Millie to adjust.
Marcus has stayed away from relationships because after being in the service he knows how hard it can be on a loved one when his job is so dangerous. Working for Rogue Security is no different than the service, his job as a bounty hunter is just as dangerous and he doesn't want to put someone he loves in danger or in position to worry about him. However, when he meets Joanna and Millie in person when they fly in, all bets are off. He finds Millie to be more beautiful in person and Joanna steals his heart right off. When Millie and Joanna find themselves in danger inadvertently, Marcus realizes that his life is better with them in it and he will protect them and care for them no matter what.
I loved this story, and the characters were great. I've only read a few of the Rogue Security books, but Security Threat was a great read. I look forward to catching up on the other books in the series and reading more to come in the near future. I give this book a 4-star review.
