British Hi-Fi maker Cambridge Audio has launched the MXN10, a compact new network player that can be used to bring any legacy Hi-Fi system up to date with music streaming services.
The half-width component, just 215mm wide, can be tucked beneath an existing audio system, or even around the back, out of sight.
Not that you'd necessarily want to hide it away. Finished in Luna Grey, it has a minimalist design that we think will sit happily amid any décor.
The MXN10 is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled, and connects to your legacy amplifier using either stereo phonos or the box's optical or digital outputs. The streamer is controlled by the brand's StreamMagic app.

We had an exclusive hands-on with the network streamer, with a playlist that ran the gauntlet from The Buggles Video Killed the Radio Star (which sounds superb on a high class Hi-Fi system, you might be surprised to learn) through to David Bowie's Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps), via Taylor Swift and The weeknd.
All genres benefitted from the streamer's outstanding clarity and musicality. The streamer was auditioned with a legacy Cambridge Audio amplifier (you can't beat the retro design) as well as its current AX and CX models.
At the heart of the MXN10 is a fourth gen version of the brand's award-winning StreamMagic module. There's not much it can't handle.
We reckon the MXN10 player is ideal if you want to stream from Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Qobuz or Deezer, using your existing, beloved music system. It's also compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast.
The Cambridge Audio MXN10 network player will be available at the end of the month, priced at £449 ($499/€499).
