Full bodied with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Showing black plums, cooked cherries, spices, light oak, licorice, chocolates, herbs, earth, light vegetables, tobacco leaf, coffee and peppercorn. Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries. This is a delicious Merlot from Columbia Valley. Soft and supple. Tangy and interesting. Easy drinking right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours of airtime. Wine Enthusiasts 90 points. I had it blind, and called 2016 Washington State Merlot. Even a broken clock is right twice a day Good by itself or with food. I enjoyed it very much all by itself. 100% Merlot grapes were aged in (40% new) French Oak barrels for 20 months. 14.5% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $50.
