Synopsis
MOLLY
Moving to Seattle is supposed to be all about getting a fresh start and leaving the bitter man I was becoming behind.
I have new roommates–quirky, sometimes strange, roommates–a nosy, next door neighbor and a grumpy kitty for company, but even surrounded by people, I still don't feel like I belong. Plus, it turns out the men in Seattle are exactly the same as the ones I left behind, and my string of romantic disconnections continues.
It's not until one of my roommates, Seven, hits me with some hard truths that I realize where I was going wrong.
Maybe the men aren't the problem.
I am.
And there's only one way to fix that.
SEVEN
Being found tied up naked to my bed by my cute new roommate isn't an ideal way for us to start a friendship.
But apparently a quid-pro-quo is.
He keeps his pretty lips zipped about the compromising position, and I step in as his dating coach. We go out, I point out where he's going wrong, and he magically becomes dating material.
The problem is, between my codependent brother Xander and a new best friend I can't get rid of, Molly and I are the target of a matchmaking scheme. My life is way too busy to add another person to it, and Molly is the kinda guy who needs to be made a priority, which I just can't do. Xander's medical anxiety takes up too much of my time, and I've never found a partner who doesn't resent it.
I'm determined to help Molly find his ever after.
But that guy will never be me.

Not Dating Material is the second stand alone in the Accidental Love series by Saxon James. Ya'll I loved this one so much !!
I have zero complaints, so I'm just going to gush about everything I loved in this book.
-Molly! The moment I met him (back in the Divorced Men series) I needed him to get his HEA. Molly is a big ray of sunshine who wears his heart on his sleeves. He hasn't had the best luck in men, but still wants to find his forever person. He's honestly a sweetheart who may be over enthusiastic at times, but it's part of his charm. Underneath all his smiles, he feels like he actually feels unwanted and lovely. The Bertha House crew take him into their fold and it's the best!
- Seven , Seven, Seven with his tattoo's, brutal honesty, fierce protection and love of his found family. He has walls of steel around his heart because of his heart wrenching childhood. Even as he starts to fall for Molly, he doesn't feel worthy of him and pushes him away. I can't talk about Seven without mentioning his foster brother , Xander. Their relationship will make your heart melt. They have had each others backs since they were young and come as a package deal. It's slightly codependent, but it works for them.
- Seven offers to coach Molly on how to date and let's be real it's pretty much fake relationship status. They go on some precious dates that turn deliciously steamy. Seriously, the intimate scenes between them are off the charts !
-Alllll the banter between Molly , Seven and Xander, and the other house mates, there's an endless supply of chuckles.
-I love the way Molly bonds with not only Seven but also Xander. He loves one as much as the other, but it's in different ways. I hope that Molly and Seven being together gives Xander hope that he can have his own HEA too. (Secretly shipping him with a certain doctor )
Not Dating Material by Saxon James is a fantastic steamy MM romance between roommates. A grumpy sunshine pairing with date nights, intimate painting, puzzling, banter, endless texting, creative swearing, steam , and emotion.

Not Dating Material by Saxon James is the second book in the Accidental Love series. Molly has fled Massachusetts after one more dating nightmare finally pushes him over the edge. He is living in Seattle with the Big Bertha crew and trying to date in a new city. He is frustrated to find that the same problems he was having before are occurring in Seattle so when one of his new roommates, Seven, offers date training he jumps on it. Seven finds himself offering up dating advice to Molly in exchange for Molly helping him out of a hook up pickle. The two set up their training with boundaries and rules but they are blown to pieces when the two find their chemistry is off the charts and. They promised it was just practice and no feelings would get involved, unfortunately fate doesn't seem to agree.
Molly and Seven are big old messes and I'm on board for it. Molly's quirky needy qualities and Seven's constant need to protect and coddle matched up quite well even if they didn't want to admit it. Molly is ready to accept all of Seven's baggage even if that means taking on the slightly neurotic but sweet Xander as well. With so many adorable dates and moments where you just wanted to yell at the kindle how they're so meant to be I appreciated that the road getting there wasn't easy.
Seven's as blunt and un-sweary as ever, I'm a complete dork, and somehow, it works. Feels right.
The "fake dating" trope is one that has been done a lot of times and although the story did play some of the greatest hits of not falling in love with each other, it can't get physical but does and others, I still greatly enjoyed all of it. Molly and Seven just made me so very happy the whole time because the two characters just worked almost instantly but not in an insta-love kind of way. They got to know each other and the more they did the more connected they felt. With all the sweet boys of the Big Bertha house needing their HEAs, I can't wait for more!
5 stars for Molly and Seven finding practice makes perfect.
