Happy Sunday I'm exhausted this morning so it's going to be a slow day. Thankfully I had started penning this post so without further ado.
Let's start with looking back on what I had hoped to have read when penning my TBR. You can read that post here.
I've recently got back into audiobooks and just before my seaside trip I had listened to a few more. Being at the seaside for two weeks meant there was time for me to listen, on walks into town, whilst getting dressed and at bedtime. Just during those two weeks away I listened to two audiobooks and a short audiobook.
The first book I finished in August was an audiobook that I had started in July and what a treat it was.
Lindsey Kelk always hits the spot and not only did she love my review she's gifted me another book boyfriend. I listened to this one and it had a Q&A with the lady herself at the end.
Up next was another audiobook by two more go to authors who I adore.
I loved The UnHoneymooners so as soon as I got another chance to meet these characters again, alongside some gorgeous new recruits it was never in doubt that I would be devouring this. A short story but a truly fantastic treat, this is the perfect short audiobook to get you out of a reading funk I guarantee it. The narration and the sound effects blew me away, I'm jealous of anyone who is yet to discover this for the first time.
I've said this a few times now I definitely believe this is my absolute favourite Taylor Jenkins Reid novel. Having first met Carrie in Malibu Rising we know very little about her and due to the love of Nina we instantly dislike her. That is until you hear her story and really meet her. I honestly love her and would love this Tennis legend to rock up again someday.
I'm still in the midst of finishing my thoughts on these short stories. I must say it made me realise how much I love reading shorts.
Another month with two Taylor Jenkins Reid novels this one is a short audiobook. Very different to what I've read but also kind of what's expected from Taylor who writes betrayal so well.
Another audible treat from Laura Jane Williams watch this space I will be sharing my full review hopefully tomorrow.
I had thought I would finish The Jigsaw Man before August finished but it wasn't to be. I have finished it now, I don't know how I can do it the justice it deserves but what I will say it's definitely worth the hype.
That was August and as I've said I've already finished The Jigsaw Man in September but how many more can I finish.
