I've never been the kind of girl to take the easy way out. I learned at too young of an age there are no such things as fairy tales. Happy endings never came to people like me. The tarnished ones.
I'm surrounded by a group that knows sadness too well. We know what it's like to lose and be tossed away like last night's trash.
We are easy to blame for all the wrongs, because when others look at us, they see our scars. Most of our stories are told in the ink we bear, but we wear those tales proudly.
Oliver Riggins is the first man I've run across that made me feel like I could have more. But he's also one of the many men who are more family to me than my own flesh and blood.

Luna has found a home within Deranged Ink and with the four men who work there. When it comes to three of the men, they feel like brothers but when it comes to Oliver her feelings are much more complicated. She is worried about the consequences of crossing that line but some things are worth fighting for.
Oliver has been hiding his feelings for Luna but once he finally acknowledges how he feels about her he is all in. He is determined to show her that she can trust him with her past and her heart and that he is someone she can count on to be there for her now and for always.
This story finds the perfect balance of romance and suspense and you will feel not only for Luna and Oliver but for the other characters as well.
