| Don Jimmy Reviews Nov 2 | The Hole by Hye-Young Pyun Book 65 of 2023 "Tense" "Gripping" "Deeply Unnerving" "must read thriller" - all words and phrases used to describe this book that led me to downloading it on Scribd. I think they were talking about a different book - I joke. People are, of course, allowed to hold different viewpoints, but I honestly can't see where they are coming from this time. While the plot plodded along I was left anything but gripped. The blurb for this short book is also spoiler ridden, so avoid that if you plan on reading this one anyway. I think this one would be best started blind, but don't expect to be on the edge of your seat. My journey to expand my horizons a bit by reading more and more novels by authors outside of my own demographic has not been overly hampered despite this speed bump. If anything I blame the person who described it as a thriller - it certainly isn't that. | | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
