Hope all of you in the United States had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Personally, I'm thankful this year is wrapping up, with just a few more weeks of new releases to consume before everything becomes "holiday music" till 2024. But until that time hits, we're still going to bring you some of the most noteworthy new releases hitting the market.
I bet Guided by Voices don't even know how many albums they've released now, but the productive indie rockers have just dropped another one we've got for you. We also want to highlight the new album from Frank Turner's band The Sleeping Souls (sans Mr. Turner), as it's filled with the kind of smart, folky punk rock that make them perfect partners for that UK troubadour.
Icelandic superstar Björk has teamed up with new-school Spanish pop star Rosalía for a new track to bring awareness to the malpractices of the fish farm industry (weird I know, but the song is great)! Souther African band Beatenberg have a new afropop ballad to soothe your ears, while Mr.Ms. & the Infusions returns with a reggae-rock slapper. The Effens teamed with The OBGM's for their latest track, and Flat Party continue to bring the party with their new indie rocker. And the Mad Caddies' have returned with a fantastic new song.
Stephen Kellogg, Pseudo Cool, Lime Cordiale, Birds of Tokyo, James Arthur and Jon Batiste are making welcome return appearances this week. Acts making their first appearances this week include Vince Freeman, The K's, Naaz, The Inevitables, Anamoe Drive, Gainako and Four Faces.
