| Don Jimmy Reviews Nov 17 | Other Plans by Caimh McDonnell Book 71 of 2023 Bunny is back in Other Plans and this time we are continuing his state side series (this is Book 4 of this particular tale... I've no idea what number it is in the overall scheme of things). We pick up where The Quiet Man left off, so you may want to have caught up before reading this. I would say, however, that this book works brilliantly standalone as it doesn't really give you too many details about what happened in the last book (aside from the fact that the main character obviously survived...) We pick things up with Bunny and friends driving around the US in a motor home, in the middle of nowhere and in desperate need for a bathroom break they pull in to the car park of the first bar they come across. You guessed it, they shouldn't have done that. Without saying too much the book quickly becomes "Bunny and Co take on the racists". Due to a series of unfortunate events, and some horrendous timing Bunny and friends end up in an all out battle against a motorbike gang. If you have read this blog before you know that I love this author, and this book is no different to the others in terms of quality. A brilliant story backed with the usual Bunny McGarry charm. I thought it was great, as usual. If you are a fan of the author you're sure to be happy, if you haven't read him before it may well be a good introduction. Highly recommend for fans of action/humour books. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
