Hello friends! I hope everyone is having an amazing New Year's Eve. Today is the last day of 2023 and I'm beyond ready for this year to be over and done. Out with the old and in with the new! It's time to close out the year! This year my reading goal was to read one hundred and eleven books. I ended the year right at one hundred and eleven. I definitely didn't know if I would make it or not with things happening in my personal life but I did. I didn't reach my highest pages read goal however.

The majority of the books I read in 2023 were mostly romances and thrillers/ mysteries. I did have a few fantasies and general fiction books sprinkled in as well. I read a total of twenty-five new to me authors. The majority of authors read this year were BIPOC.

Other Goals

I had a goal to read more fantasy this year. I read eleven fantasy books. Not too bad. I definitely want to up that number even more in 2024. I also had a goal to complete ten series. I caught up with/ completed nine series. Let's not talk about how many series I STARTED in 2023, lol. The Buzzword challenge was a success. I completed all prompts and look forward to participating again in 2024.

Before we ring in the new year, I have to tell you my top ten books of 2023. Usually, I have a hard time narrowing it down to ten but this year, I had some clear-cut favorites! I did have some almost favorites though.
