#5OnMyTBR is a bookish meme hosted by E. @ Local Bee Hunter's Nook and you can learn more about it here or in the post announcing it. Today's topic is short reads, which we all love to see towards the end of the year, right?
Ancients (The Librarian's Coven #4) by Kathryn Moon
If all goes to plan, I'll hopefully read this one sometime before Christmas. It's the final book in this series and I really want to wrap it up before the end of the year, but I haven't read book three yet. This is the longest one on this list, coming in at 220 pages.
The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros
I received this one last year as a Christmas gift, and I've just been saving it for the right moment. I couldn't tell you what that 'right moment' is but hopefully, I'll know it when I see it. This is actually the shortest one at just 110 pages.
Vista Chinese by Tatiana Salem Levy
I received this one in a book box and I've been holding off on it too. This is based on a true story about a woman who was SAed just before the World Cup in Brazil in 2014, and it says it's about 'the violation of a woman and a city'. It'll be a tough read I think, so even though it's only 112 pages, I've been hesitant to pick it up.
How Heathcliff Stole Christmas (Nevermore Bookshop Mysteries #3.5) by Stephanie Holmes
Here's another one I am hoping to read before the end of the year. As you can probably guess by the title, this is a Christmas novella. I had big plans to read Christmas books in December but I think this one might end up being the only one I get around to, I'm excited for that anyway. It comes in at 140 pages.
Salvation (Small Town Packs #1) by Cassie Laelyn
Finally, I've been really excited to get to this one since Angel read it. I've been holding off because I think I want to be able to marathon the three books back to back and I just haven't had the time for that lately. This is a little on the longer side at 198 pages.
So that's all of them for today. I'll be back again tomorrow with my Summer TBR!
