Note: As these are both essays and book reviews, you may be tempted to skip some, but I found treasure buried in every entry even if the references were unfamiliar to me. That which will stick with me most: When Handmaids Tale came out, Atwood toured the world, and in almost every country, women asked, "Can it happen here?"
