#5OnMyTBR is a bookish meme hosted by E. @ Local Bee Hunter's Nook and you can learn more about it here or in the post announcing it. Today's topic is titles starting with a C, so let's get into it.
Colour Scheme (Roderick Alleyn #12) by Ngaio Marsh
I've been loving the Roderick Alleyn series but they are challenging to find copies of so whenever I see one secondhand, I pick it up. I'm traditional in that I have to read the series in order so I'm currently up to book 6 and this one will be waiting on my shelves for a while because I don't own any books between them yet.
Cool for the Summer by Dahlia Adler
I bought this one in 2021 with the plan to read it during Pride—I can't remember whether it didn't arrive in time or if I ran out of time but either way, I didn't read it. And then I didn't read it in 2022 or 2023 for Pride either. Instead of waiting again, I think I'm just going to pick it up while it's summer here, so hopefully in the next few weeks.
Cleopatra: A Life by Stacy Schiff
I can't explain why I've been avoiding this one, but I have been. I also bought this one in 2021 so maybe it's just something about that year. In all honesty, this is still not very high on my priorities list and it'll still be a while before I pick it up.
The Collarbound (Tales of the Edge) by Rebecca Zahabi
'The' doesn't count, right? In my mind, it doesn't which means I can talk about this one. I got this in a subscription box and was really interested in it but I just haven't picked it up. I'm not often in the mood for high fantasy without romance so I'll save this one until I'm ready for it.
Conqueror (Galactic Kings #4) by Anna Hackett
Okay, I have to be honest about this one. I really wanted to pick this up last week because I knew it would be a quick read and it would finish off the series. But I knew it was one of the books for this post so I held strong and didn't read it. I'm hoping to start this either tonight or tomorrow morning depending on when I finish my current read.
And that's everything for today. Have you read any of these?
