About the book:

Celebrate the magic of Christmas with your little ones! Bestselling author Rory Feek invites children and families on a heartwarming journey to Christmas past in "Once Upon the Very First Christmas." Join schoolchildren as they put on a delightful Christmas play on a picturesque farm, with homemade costumes and props. Through Rory's soothing and lyrical storytelling, paired with magical illustrations by Christine Cuddihy, young readers will be immersed in the joy of the season and the true meaning of Christmas—the gift of Jesus. Slow down this Advent and Christmas, treasure that first Christmas, and create precious moments with your family and friends.

My Review:

I always love stories wrote by Rory Feek. I remember him mostly for being a country artist with his amazing late wife. I often think of their sweet daughter, Indiana.

Upon opening the book the first thing I noticed was it's a place that say to, from, and date.

Then it's a sweet dedication to his daughter, Indiana, and the children of the school house on his property.

Rory really does an amazing job on how soothing and even lyrical he is at retelling of this Christmas story. The magical illustrations are done by Christine Cuddihy and it was from a homemade play.

I even noticed she drew in some photos of Rory himself.

The story is short but tells everything of the first Christmas. This would be a perfect story for the ages of 4-8 years old.

My infant really enjoy it as it's his first Christmas. I was hunting for him a perfect book for the holiday and this became the one.

It really shows us we should remember the reason for the season. It's not about the gifts, elf on shelf, avent calendars, or any of that. We should treasure who we have around the tree and the real meaning of Christmas.

You can purchase your own copy here at this link. This would be a wonderful book for this Christmas and one to read for many more years to come.

I received a copy of this book from FrontGate Media for my honest review.
