The unexpected and insane have built the underground into the unpredictable beast that we know it as today. Even just a little bit of experimentation or chaos, oftentimes one and the same, can propel a sound into an unprecedented direction that is ripe for expansion and more than enough for many to gravitate towards. Some, though, craft experiences that simply cannot be pinned down on a whim for how ferocious and unrelenting they are at their very core. Tetragrammacide is a name that's been lurking in the depths of the Indian underground for years now with few coming before their might, and it is now with this new effort that Tetragrammacide is hopefully able to come out of the shadows at least a little bit for the world at large to see what they're capable of.
For more than a few acts that find themselves entrenched in the crossover realm between black and death metal, insanity unbound is well and truly the name of the game. There's always something to be said for an experience that's as approachable as it is satisfying, but to witness a band come around and bring about a performance that is intimidating, exceedingly dense, and constantly surpassing expectations in virtually every category is to see what a vast portion of the underground is founded off of. In no small way, Tetragrammacide does that concept extreme glory with all they've brought to the table for the immensely long-named "Typho-Tantric Aphorisms From The Arachneophidian Qur'an". With a title like that, apex madness was the only possible destination with Tetragrammacide more than delivering the goods at every given turn! Not a shred of sanity or innocence is spared by the time we come to the end of these blistering eleven tracks as Tetragrammacide puts on a magnificently terrifying display of power through immense technicality, shocking songwriting, and a touch of their homeland to really set the material apart from the rest even more so such that "Typho-Tantric" very quickly takes on a life all on its own that can't quite be compared to anything else be it from contemporary acts or names long-gone.
This is the sort of creations where words can do very little in order to really encapsulate the whole of what's to be had throughout the creation with only a first-hand experience truly able to get the message across. Tetragrammacide has crafted a certifiable behemoth of a performance with these eleven tracks, and it's no wonder why people are calling this one of the craziest releases of the year. Maddening and wondrous in all the right portions, "Typho-Tantric Aphorisms From The Arachneophidian Qur'an" is a trip to the edges of insanity the likes of which we didn't know we needed.
