His name is known for creating the best films Studio Ghibli has to offer, whether it would be Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, or The Wind Rises. Even when it feels like he is done, he always finds a way to come back and wow us with breathtaking animation and a captivating story. His latest film, The Boy and the Heron is another worthy entry in Miyazaki's repertoire, and is rumored to be his swan song. The Boy and the Heron revolves around Mahito Maki (Voice of Luca Padovan), who has lost his mother in a fire during the Pacific War, and is relocating out of Tokyo with his father, Shoichi (Voice of Christian Bale) who remarries to Mahito's mother's sister, Natsuko (Voice of Gemma Chan) and is expecting a child. While out in the countryside, Mahito is struggling to cope with his grief and having a stepmother, while the old ladies of the estate try to help as best as they can. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
