This book takes place in a small country town in Yorkshire, in a large country home, where Pippa Munro becomes a sort of housekeeper after breaking it off with her long term boyfriend. To start with, I felt she over reacted when he told her he was selling to the farm. I know they both lived there and it was theirs so it should have been mutual but……it was his family's farm and he had every right.
I enjoyed the story. Pippa wasn't someone I really gelled with, even as the book moved on but the other characters such as her cousins and her friends I loved!
Also special shout out to Juniper Sunbeam the pig! I loved whenever she turned up!
It just seemed that Pippa was all out of luck. As a reader you're made to believe that, however the last act of the book made me completely fall in love with the story and with the romance between her and posh boy Wolfie Squires.
They were actually really cute in the end and I was rooting for them.
Despite being a little predictable in places it's really cute and a nice quick paced romance.
3/5 stars.
Would have been a 4 if Alex the ex didn't keep trying to get Pippa back and wouldn't take no for an answer….he was just there to add drama!
