In every given style throughout the whole of metal's spectrum, there's always a perpetual group that feels as though they've all been in a steady decline for decades now with there not really being much coming around to do any sort of justice for the genre, much less put forth something actually worth listening to. In the face of such pessimism, the underground itself always has an answer for those who are actually willing to keep the progression of each style going even if it means heralding in new acts that simply do the sound incredibly well even if it doesn't push the boundaries of what's possible. For their first EP, Drunk Thrasher stands as rising potential for thrash not like what many tend to think about. Rather, this is the nasty side of thrash that many have long considered deceased.
Riddled with the energy of true anarchists with anti-social tendencies and the ferocity to match in every aspect, Drunk Thrasher has put forth an EP the likes of which is sure to scratch the itch of any longing for that vicious breed of thrash that has only ever found a home in the underground where only the dedicated few are able to bring it to life in a substantial form. Despite this being their first real offering, "Raining Vomit" is nothing to underestimate with its seemingly meager track list of but five tracks something that holds more than a few surprises should you make the decision to explore its particular brand of chaos. More than capable of decimating the very walls of society, Drunk Thrasher finds itself more than competent to deliver simple speed however effective it may be. Unbridled in their intensity but nevertheless able to deliver immense rhythms that only pull you further into their whirlwind of blood that's constantly pick up speed, "Raining Vomit" has a good deal going on within it despite being the beginning of Drunk Thrasher's onslaughts upon the society we find ourselves in. Where plenty seek speed rather than substance, Drunk Thrasher brings both to the table in heaping quantities to deliver a performance that is raw but extremely close to what the old school of thrash has always been.
This is thrash metal the likes of which we simply do not see enough of, and Drunk Thrasher has made it exceedingly clear right out of the gate that they're the beacon of anarchy in the style that many of us may not know we needed. Unrefined yet all the more intoxicating because of it, "Raining Vomit" is the start to a series of raids upon conformity the likes of which we simply don't see often whatsoever.
