For all that has been accomplished in the splendorous realm of melodic death metal, there is still so much more to be done. No matter which direction you're taking the sound, there is clear passion and talent to be had throughout every possible vein to ensure that a magnificent experience can typically be guaranteed rather than simply hoped for. When we move into the section of melo-death that becomes particularly grandiose is where the bar becomes exceedingly high. There are some bands that are taking the sound to new heights with Far Beyond coming back from an eight-year silence to show us it's still an act that effortlessly earns respect and adoration with this newest record almost certainly the greatest yet from the name.

With the long breaks in between records while working in other acts, Far Beyond has had more than enough time to ensure that every new record is more than fleshed out to the point that it's clear meticulous is the name of the game with this particular brand of real magic. Where many in the game of melodic death metal can and will lean on many of the tropes of the sound, it becomes evident in just the first two tracks of "The End of My Road" that Far Beyond isn't content with anything short of carving its own path through its own spectacular vision. What's brought to the table for these forty-three minutes cannot be considered anything less than some of the most exquisite, well thought out, and immensely compelling melodic death metal that I've heard in far too long with the credentials of Far Beyond speaking for themselves while the wonders and many different flavors constantly working off each other for an experience that's as layered as it is tantalizing. Epic in its scope, fantastical in its settings, tremendous in its talent, and stunning to witness, "The End of My Road" stands astoundingly tall! This is what it means to put forth melodic death metal on a ridiculously high level that holds nothing back with every given facet of this effort more than enough for giving Far Beyond and everyone behind this record more than enough to be extremely proud of for the rest of their lives.

Time was truly on the side of Far Beyond in the making of this great creation as it stands tall even compared to its predecessor that came out all the way back in 2016, and it should be made known right away that there likely isn't anything that could gone better in the crafting of this epic album. This a career-defining performance in every given form. For all that it's already accomplished, Far Beyond has reached a new peak with "The End of My Road" that the entirety of melodic death metal only recieves once in a long while with it likely to be some time before we're given something that can come even close to this massive work.

"The End of My Road" releases on February 16th via Prosthetic Records!
