Happy New Year! I'm so happy you all stuck around for another year! I know that 2024 will be one of my most productive and creative years yet! I'm so excited for what the future will bring. Let's go ahead and get into my 2024 reading goals.
Goodreads Goals
Let's go ahead and get this one out of the way. I've been on Goodreads since 2011. It does have issues with a lot of things but I'm going to stick beside it for a few more years, lol. This year I'm setting my goal at 75 books. I did this for a few reasons. The main is that the number of chunky books is starting to stack up on my owned shelves. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, The Will of the Many, Demon's Dream are just some of the books patiently waiting to be read. I do want to attempt to surpass my number of pages read.
Reading Challenges
I will once again be participating in the Buzzword Reading Challenge. This challenge was created by Books and Lala. You can find out the prompts here. I had a great time last year and looking forward to completing it again this year.
I also have a variety of genre challenges from Peanut Butter Taco Etsy shop include a thriller, fantasy, and romance challenge.
I also want to read more of my owned books this year. I always strive to curate my shelves into a personalized library featuring my favorite books. Reading more backlist titles and maybe doing some unhauling will help personalize them even more.
Series
I cannot even begin to tell you how many series I am in the middle of. It's out of control at this point, lol. I do want to organize that a little more and finish or catch up on at least twelve series this year. This is something that I will actively be tracking throughout the months.
Genres
I'm back in my fantasy bag this year! Dragons, witches, ghosts come on down. I also want to read at least four non-fiction books which translates to about one a quarter. If you have any non-fiction/ self help recs, I would love to hear some suggestions.
Reviews
There are so many books I want to talk about. I want to catch up on reviews as well as keep up with reviews for books that I have strong feelings about.
Connection
I want to connect with you! As an introvert, it is so easy to get into my own head. I want to be more open this year. Being an active member in the book community is my goal. More book clubbing, more chats, more everything.
