I was intrigued by Crow at first glance. Who wouldn't be? He's a mountain of a man, who was raised in a cult and now lives secluded in the wilderness. Wow – this is a book that totally surprised me, in the best possible way! I love a good hurt/comfort read and that's what I was expecting with this and it was that but it was so much more. This book was intense and raw and emotional and I just couldn't get enough of Crow and Cyrus. It's not an easy read, these two have been through so much pain and faced so many struggles and it's really laid out for the reader to see and feel, but it is so very worth it. These two have a journey of discovery, healing and ultimately such a beautiful love and happiness that they truly deserve.
This is one of those books that I don't want to say a whole lot about in regards to the actual story because I think it really just needs to be experienced. I will say though that I loved the unique relationship that builds between Crow and Cyrus and how they find and embrace what works for them. To others it may look weird or broken but it's what they need and this really is their story. It's heartbreaking yes, but it's powerful and beautiful and it completely captured my heart.
