My 3* Review:

Mistletoe Mischief by Adriana Locke is the last novella in the My Hometown Collection. All the stories have been set in Charmed Cove so we have now met many of the residents. This time we meet Holly Martin and Landon Armstrong in a sweet Christmas themed insta-love romance.

Emerson ( from Stay With Me ) has asked her friend Holly for help with decorating the Town Square for Christmas. Holly is an exterior designer who currently lives in San Diego. Her grandpa Jack was chairperson of the Charmed Cove Christmas Committee but sadly died six years ago.

Holly had been struggling with the grief and almost given up but slowly in the last year she had been thinking of ways to enjoy life again. The thought of rescuing the senior centre made her happy so she packed a bag and left as couldn't let them down.

Landon arrived in town a few years ago and fell in love with the place. He now reads water metres and does odd jobs around town. He is a sweet and charming gentleman who is liked by everyone.

There is a meet-cute between the couple when Landon has been sent to help her. He persuades her to go to dinner at Baylors so they can work out the decorations. Then an incident causes a forced proximity situation.

Being Christmas time and the conclusion to this collection, I thought we might see some of the previous characters but sadly we only get Emerson. This is a quick read about a sweet couple but has a rather abrupt ending, an epilogue would have been appreciated. We only get one scene of Mistletoe Mischief!
