Welcome back to my re-read, recap, and reaction to Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. This post will only have spoilers through the current chapter.

Chapter 26: Sallie Daera
NOTE: The following chapter summary comes from wot.fandom.com
Point of view: Min Farshaw
Min, Siuan, and Leane are riding along with a very depressed Logain. He still has his crown of future glory aura that Min can see. It has been fifteen days since they departed Lugard. After a while they move from Woodland into a large village, one that was deserted not too long ago. There are more women than there should be around the village, fewer men, and almost no children. She then notices that many of the women have auras, making them Aes Sedai. They enter the largest inn to find many women busy with parchments or giving orders to warders.
Sheriam enters the room and addresses Min, questioning why she brought Logain and how she found the location. She and the others of the Salidar Six join her. They ignore Leane and Siuan because they don't recognize them (because their faces changed dramatically after being stilled). Min finally tells them to ask their questions of Siuan and Leane, which brings puzzled looks at the other two women. Leane and Siuan are asked many questions to verify their identities, which is finally confirmed. Min is asked to keep Logain company while The Aes Sedai work out what role there will be for Siuan and Leane.
Min is anxious to get away and find Rand but she is being watched too closely at the moment. She asks a novice where they are and she answers in Salidar in Altara, about a mile east of Amadicia.
REACTION:
There isn't a lot to say about this chapter except that Min and the others finally arrived in Salidar.
We learn right away - when the Aes Sedai are trying to prove Siuan and Leane are not imposters - that the two of them got into a lot of mischief when they were novices and Accepted. I wonder if there is a connection (for Jordan, at least) between the sort of innate courage it takes to break the rules and the ability to lead. It makes sense that there would be some correlation there, at least a lot of the time.
We get beaten over the head in this chapter with Logain's future. It seems pretty obvious that someone, at some point, is going to heal Gentling / Stilling. How else would Logain eventually achieve so much future glory?
We also got some other good viewings. One of the Aes Sedai is going to be captured by Seanchan, but she will eventually escape. Sheriam has a halo but its meaning is unclear. Min confirms that she will be sharing Rand with two other women - Elayne and Aviendha, presumably.
One thing I hadn't really thought of before, though, is Min's urgency to find Rand and be with him before he goes mad. She knows she is bound to fall in love with him, but she does not know the reverse. It makes sense that she'd be bordering on desperate to get him to love her, while he is still able to choose that freely and sanely.
The other thing we get from this chapter, and it's brief, is Siuan indicating to the Aes Sedai how much value she can offer them. She has full access to the Blue Ajah / White Tower eyes and ears network. The Salidar group probably has access to some of that without her, via other Blues, but she'd improve their information situation immensely.
Faolain feels planted into the story for a future purpose. Min doesn't know why she's there and thinks she would be a future Red. I predict she plays a bigger part in the story at some point. We'll keep an eye on her.
