Why I bought the whole set of paper books for The Cane Brothers’ series.

I am a little obsessed right now with the Cane Brothers' series by Meghan Quinn. So much so that I spent two hours today tracking the books down in paper format even though I can read them all with my Kindle Unlimited subscription. Why? Because there are pictures! That's right, these adorable and sexy romcoms are made even better by the addition of black and white sketches (some a little too spicy for my page, but none terribly over the top).
So... yes, I just spent two hours and $45 on books that I technically could have read for the price of my subscription... and yes, I have already read two of them in eBook. There's also the fact that I have become terribly lazy and don't grab for my paper books nearly as often as I just read from my phone- seriously, I have over a thousand books in the palm of my hand. These books, though... these are special.
First off, the premises and characters are amazing. They are well written and a lot of fun while still tugging at your heart. You want these characters to suceed- even when they're being idiots. These are wonderful, fast reads that I continue to think of even though I finished Breaker's story (A Long Time Coming) weeks ago. I had been over the moon to recieve an eARC of that book- more so when I saw the attention to detail that would go into the finished copy. The covers are nice, but the eARC had pictures! Upon learning that the eBook available on Kindle did not, I knew I had to track down the paperback. Some of these are a tiny bit spicy, but they're so cool! Why am I so obsessed with this?!?
A Not So Meet cute has fifteen illustrations besides the cover art. So Not Meant to Be had eight, and A Long Time Coming had thirteen. I chose a few of my favorites:
Kudos to Quinn and Bloom Books Publishing for their marketing genius. I LOVE this! It was absolutely worth going to every store in town that sold new books, and trying to check out while my bestie riffled through the goods to see illustrations. Seriously, why don't we do this more often? I would pay lots of money to have illustrations for any number of the romances I just read. Ali Hazelwood- I am looking at you! Lol!
This edition of A Long Time Coming was just released today. You can get the book on Kindle, but it won't be this edition. (Or at least it wasn't when I bought it. Maybe they will switch them out, but they didn't do that for the other two. This may just be for the paperbacks.) What do you guys think? Will you be buying these?
