Happy February everyone! The first Friday of the year's second month is bringing us a number of highly-anticipated releases from some incredibly diverse artists. First, we have the latest solo record from Dinosaur Jr.'s J. Mascis (my favorite guitarist of all time). Next comes one of the most hyped (and deservedly so) debut albums in ages from The Last Dinner Party. Indie pop wunderkind Chaz Cardigan has released his debut LP, and Norwegian emo band Flight Mode have dropped their latest album (read our review of it here). Giant Rooks have giant talent that you can hear on their new album, and Jeen's full-length is here and deserves your attention. We also have a new EP from reggae great Matisyahu (catch my interview with the artist about his new EP soon).

One of the biggest surprise new singles for 2024 will have to be this new one from Billy Joel, as no one thought we'd ever have new music from the man (and just in time, as I am seeing him live next month). In honor of the successful re-release of Stop Making Sense, A24 is rangling up a bunch of great artists to cover Talking Heads, and this week we got Paramore's take on one of their classics. After releasing a fantastic album last year, Cold War Kids have shared an equally great b-side from that album. Pop-rockers Goo Goo Dolls have shared a new track that will please any of their fans, and Flora Cash have dropped the perfect track for Valentines Day.

Other artists returning to our list this week are Newmoon, Yester Daze, Silent Forum, Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties, Broadwing, TALK, The Warning, Starsailor, Porno for Pyros, Dehd, Anna Graves and Tropidelic. Joining the list for the first time today are Ventrelles, Teles, Joyer, Nat Harvie, Hannah Frances, Frontier Ruckus, Savanna Leigh, Crow and Gazelle, AR/CO, Hovvdy, Kinley, Charm of Finches, , BADBADNOTGOOD, Royal Tusk, Death Lens, Lyra, Josh Fortenbery, N'FALY KOUYATÉ, tripliciti, Gangstagrass and Kolby Lane.
