Synopsis
Rush
When I show up to surprise my boyfriend in a barely-there festive outfit, I'm expecting him to be alone.
Not hosting family.
His fiancé's family.
Down one boyfriend and up a lot of embarrassment, I flee with my tail between my legs. The broken heart will fade. My humiliation, not so much, but my saving grace is the fact that I never have to see either of them ever, ever again.
Until I walk into work and come face to face with my new boss.
Hunter
I never, in a million years, would have guessed the man hiding under his desk at work would be the one person I hoped to never see again.
My ex-fiancé's side piece.
Apparently I can't fire the guy because of personal issues, so I try to play nice, which is a whole lot harder to do when I find out my ex is still texting Rush. The same ex I haven't heard from since I walked out on his begging.
Rush tells me he didn't know about me. He tells me there were others. He also tells me our ex still wants him and so, we come up with a plan. To show him what it feels like when you want someone who doesn't want you back.
All we need is a camera. His number. And one shared kiss.
Revenge has never been sweeter.

Look at that. It only took one day for me to upgrade us from animosity to colleagues to trading puns. Everyone knows puns signal true friendship.
The Revenge Agenda by Saxon James is the third book in the Accidental Love series. Rush never expects his Christmas surprise for his boyfriend to turn into a nightmare, but the truth hits him in the face when his boyfriend's fiancé answers the door. Things only go from bad to worse when that now ex-fiance turns out to be Rush's new boss. Hunter couldn't imagine a worse way to start his new life in Seattle but finding his fiancé has been cheating on him long term is only topped by the fact that his boyfriend on the side is now his employee. Rush has decided not to let Ian ruin any more of his or Hunter's life, and devises a plan to get revenge for both of them. That means spending time with the intriguing Hunter and the more time Rush spends with him, the more he's entranced but the put together stranger. Revenge is complicated enough but throw in growing feelings and tension and Rush and Hunter are left questioning what's really going on between them.
I really tried to hate him. And now, I might be falling for him a little bit. Fuck me, I'm pathetic.
I adore Rush so very much. His sparkly brain is too much for him to handle at times, and seeing it be used against him by Ian was awful. Rush's systems in place help him stay on track the best he can, but Hunter turns out to be a calming force he never knew he needed. Hunter presents a put together and serious front but struggles with insecurities and fears failure just like anyone else. Rush brings fun into his life and introduces him to a found family he never expected when moving to Seattle. Hunter's his patience and kindness to everything that makes Rush who he is, was wonderful. The two are just lovely together, and seeing the tension simmer beneath the surface of their in person and digital interaction was so fun. The sexual tension also develops into some delicious steam .
"Seeing you fall apart and knowing it's all for me is the only thing I care about."
This was another quality addition to one of James' best series. The story was funny, smart, weird and sweet. I loved that although there was angst and problems arose, it didn't take away from the fact that you were just cheering for Rush and Hunter from the start. There were so many quality moments in Big Bertha with the Lost Boys and getting to know roommates that before you only met in passing, I'm looking at you Madden. I can't wait to see where these weird wild boys' lives head next.
I have a person. A person who's all mine. Who doesn't play games and make me second- guess. I never knew how much I needed Hunter, but I do now. And if he maybe loves me too, I'm not ever letting him go.
Overall, The Revenge Agenda is a romantic comedy with heart, Bum flowers, M&Ms, Email exchanges, ADHD rep, found family, Hate to love, Sexual tension, practice kisses, and quality steam. 5 stars for Rush and Hunter turning revenge into forever!
