Angels By Juno Oddly

The Rising Phoenix Review

March 3

Angels
I see the angels above my bed
They wait for me
In the arms
Of nocturna

Their hands lift up my arms
Urging me to follow them
So I can see my friends once more
So I can escape this hell

Their music is so beautiful
Their bowstrings sing
With such wonderful harmony
As they sing those hymns

They wrap the bowstrings
Around by body
They dig into my back
As they try to hoist me up

The song gets louder
I see my friends on the other side
I'm almost there guys
See you soon

But they I see their faces
They didn't want to see me so soon
They heard my midnight promise
And I shouldn't break that.

So I sever those golden strings
And fall back to earth
Not yet guys
Not yet
