The Air Transport Auxiliary Mystery Club are still a tight knit group and will do anything to keep each other safe. But enemy forces threaten everything. Can they pull together and keep fighting the good fight? Because the alternative doesn't bear thinking about. As they carry out their duties delivering planes all over the country, they continue to support each other. Their cheerfulness, bravery and tenacious spirits make all the difference - and make the long war bearable. I loved being back with the women of the Air Transport Auxiliary. Their friendships, and the light-hearted banter in the face of danger, carry them through everything. The small details of their lives are just as interesting as the globally important war effort. History lies in the day-to-day as well as the big battles of the war. The story was well written, with an insight into how ordinary people become extra-ordinary when they have to. Their war jobs force them to face danger every day and they rise to the occasion. But it is the love they have for each other, and the intensity of their friendships and relationships that matter most of all. I always enjoy my time with them in Hamble and hope to visit them again. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
